Applesauce Cinnamon Twist

10 apples

1 cup water

1 cup raisins

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 cup raw sugar (optional, or to taste)

Methods/steps

Core and chop the apples into 1 inch dice. Place in a food processor with the steel blade and chop until minced. You may need to do this is 2-3 batches.

Place all of the apples and about 2/3 cup of water in a sauce pan. Stir and cook over medium heat until the apples are soft and have released some of their liquid, about 5 minutes.

Spoon the cooked apples back into the food processor and blend until desired consistency. Place in a large bowl.

Add the additional 1/3 cup water, cinnamon and raisins. Mix thoroughly. Serve warm or cold.

Additional Tips

This recipe can be halved or doubled.

Applesauce Cinnamon Twist keeps in the fridge in a covered container for about a week.
