Serves 4-8

2 garlic cloves

2 jalapeno peppers

1 green apple, cored and chopped

1 bunch of cilantro

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup raw, Spanish peanuts

1/2 tsp brown sugar

1 tsp ground cumin

2 T lime juice

1 tsp salt (or to taste)

Methods/steps

Peel the garlic, and chop into halves. Cut the jalapenos into quarters. Place into blender or food processor and chop.

Wash the cilantro. You will be using the stems and about 1/3 of the leaves. Trim about 1/4 inch from the bottom of the stems. Discard. Cut 2/3 of the leaves from the top of the bunch - set aside and keep for another dish.

Add the cilantro stems and leaves and the chopped apple into the blender or food processor. Process.

Add the rest of the ingredients and blend.

Enjoy with some warm samosas as an appetizer with friends and family!
